On my way to Domestic goddess-ism

When one thinks of the word "wife", there are generally a few things that come to mind. Cooking, cleaning, babies and the magical ability to fix buttons, rips, zippers and any other clothing disaster that may come our way.

If you know me, however, none of those would come to mind. Well, maybe "babies" but it's only because I love them so much!

However, this weekend I became closer domestic goddess-ism. I learned how to knit.

I know i know. Jaw dropping, right? The fact that i can sit in one spot and do the same thing for like 3 hours? And only screw up a couple of times?

See, Tyler's mom has tried to teach me twice before, but then I get home, screw something up and she isn't there to rescue me. But this time I went over to my friend Alli's and she guided me down the highway of knitting.

Here are a couple of pictures of my progress. Don't pay attention to the random holes in my scarf, mmkay? Thanks.

And I don't even have a picture of the progress I made yesterday! Alli came over and we knitted for like 3 hours. Difference being she finished up a really cute floppy hat and I just struggled my way through a lot more of my scarf. :)

Maybe one of these days I'll get the cleaning and cooking part down. Maybe.

*edit: Here is a picture of the progress I made on Sunday! Proud?

About Me

My Photo
I'm a woman in my mid-twenties who still loves to "play" with makeup and clothes. I have a lot of interests and hobbies and in general, can't sit still.
