Wednesday night after I got off of work, Tyler, Ellie and I headed to Liberty for a couple of days. Thursday, the in-laws house turned into family central as both sets of grandparents came over, one of my sisters-in-law, her husband and 3 boys AND our niece. We would have had more, but my other sister-in-law had mono and her husband had pneumonia. That is one sick household!
We didn't have a traditional Thanksgiving meal, because we were all going to have those at someone else's house. No, we had hot wings, chicken casserole, macaroni salad and potatoes. Tyler and Hannah made a delicious apple pie (all from scratch!) and me and Hannah made a cheese ball. (much less difficult, but definitely within my skill level.)
Here are some pictures for your enjoyment!
Ellie was in the middle of it all!

Our niece and nephew attacking Uncle Tyler!

Me and Reece!
I love getting to spend time with our nephews and niece. We do't get to see them very often. They are the cutest little kids and I always have a lot of fun getting to know them better as they grow up. They definitely have their own, very different, very sweet personalities.
We had a great time with his family. The next day, we went to Danville waaaay after the 4 am crazies. We went later in the afternoon just to look around and eat a late lunch. Although we did go into K-Mart and Tyler just about had an anxiety attack. Something about rednecks in their pajamas scratching their butts and fighting over hannah montana dolls really gets to him.
Friday night we drove back to Bowling Green to get some sleep and regroup before we headed to my parents house.
Saturday morning we headed to Mt. Juliet. My sister and I found some old journals from when we were in elementary school. Later on I will post some entries from my 4th grade journal. Let me tell you, they are awesome.
Around 6 we went to Providence for the tree lighting. The High School's Vocal Ensemble performed and we got the pleasure of seeing Santa Claus and his little helper, who at first we thought was a way too young Mrs. Claus.

Today, we helped my parents go through their storage unit ad move to a smaller one. Found some old, great stuff including my Backstreet Boys books and video tapes :) And our game boy! Some great memories packed away in that storage unit!
Also, in really super exciting news, Tyler and I saw New Moon!!! Woo hoo! It was really great, and I definitely want to see it again. Any takers???
Now I am just sitting here missing my husband and puppy. I am staying in Mt. Juliet tonight to save some drive time for work tomorrow!
And now I am watching a news story about someone who shot another family's dog just for the fun of it on Thanksgiving. I hope that person dies a slow painful death and burns in hell forever.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!
